Help build this year’s Mardi Gras float!

Our theme this year is

"Celebrating the Dunedin Boat Club's Historic Clubhouse"

The Clubhouse is the centerpiece of this year's float so the entire community can celebrate this important element of Dunedin's sailing and boating history.

This is the final work session before the parade. You don't need to sign up, just show up.

We will have t-shirts for purchase and pick up for those of you who are registered to walk with the float in the parade.

Work Session #7

The work plan details:

• Add garland, metallic fringe, and colored lights to railings and other spots on the float
• Install market lights around the building under the roof
• Attached decorative burgees
• Finish installing the trim lights
• Attach skirting around bottom of float
• Install any another lighting or decorative elements as needed
• Clear out items under the trailer and dispose of trash
• Hook up trailer to Mark's truck to ensure hookup and lights are good

What to bring:

• Staple guns and staples
• White zip ties/cable ties, 
• White or clear duct tape
• Battery-powered hand tools, jigsaws and star bits for screws, Phillips head screw drivers
• Saw horses
• Ladders
• Don't forget drinks, snacks, sunscreen, work gloves, and a desire to have fun with other DBC members.

• Date & Time: Saturday, March 1, 10:00am – 1:00pm. 
• Attendees: DBC members and prospective members.  (For prospective members, this is a great way to fulfill your "Good of the Club" membership requirement.)
• Address:  958 Douglas Ave, Dunedin, FL 34698 
• Location:  The float is located in the open lot behind the former "Institute for Creative Arts," on Douglas Ave., just south of Skinner Blvd. and diagonally across from the Dunedin Woodwright Brewery.
• Parking:  Parking in the lot is very limited. It is better to park in front of the building or in the City parking garage, located just to the south. Feel free to drop off any tools and supplies before parking elsewhere.
• What to Bring:  Saw horses, jigsaws and blades, staple guns and staples, drill base and star bits, battery operated hand tools and their charger. Don't forget drinks, snacks, sunscreen, work gloves, and a desire to have fun with other DBC members.
