Commissioning week for the USS Jack H. Lucas will begin with the arrival of the vessel Monday, 10/2.  It will be a sight to see as she sails into Tampa Bay for the first time escorted by a well-recognized and a Tampa favorite, The Jose Gaspar.  From here, the week kicks off with a variety of community engaging events for the ship’s leadership and her crew, together with civic leaders and dignitaries.  Be sure to check out the event schedule and other information at www.ddg125.org and see the public’s opportunities to participate during commissioning week.

Ship Tours
Event tours start on Tuesday, Oct. 3 and end on Sat. the 7th, between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m.  UPDATE 9/24/23: According to the Port Tampa Bay website, "Tours are given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participants on the tours are required to bring a valid U.S. ID and no bags or weapons are allowed."

Commissioning Ceremony
There are tickets available for the actual commissioning on the morning of the 7th.  Tickets are free.  Click here to register for tickets. Four tickets are available per person and you need to be able to submit the names of the people when you register for tickets.
