Commodore: Blair Kooi
Welcome to the Dunedin Boat Club website, which is designed to provide our members and you with useful and interesting information about the club. Because there is no substitute for experiencing the club in person, we encourage you to visit our clubhouse at the beautiful Dunedin Marina and attend a General Meeting (held on the third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m.) or a social event that is described on our website.
The City of Dunedin is often described as quaint, eclectic, funky, and historical. Many of our members use these terms to describe the club. In addition, DBC has a certain spirit that is reflected by our historical clubhouse (built in 1931). Our club is comprised of a diverse group of civic-minded members who support many of our local organizations, including the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, the Dunedin Youth Sailing Association, Dunedin High School, Sea Scout Ship 956, Friends of the Island Parks, Inc. (Honeymoon Island), the Dunedin Historical Society, the Dunedin Lighted Boat Parade, the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, Dunedin Cares, Inc. Food Pantry, and the Homeless Empowerment Program (HEP), located in Clearwater. Most every year, our club takes first place in Dunedin’s Christmas light pole decorating contest, as well as first place in Dunedin’s Mardi Gras Parade float competition. In addition, our club hosts some of the best parties on the east coast of St. Joseph Sound. So come on by, enjoy one of the best views on the west coast of Florida, and experience the best-kept secret in Dunedin – the Dunedin Boat Club.
