2007 Race Series - Race Chair Sarah Erb
To get the latest information plan on attending the Skipper’s Meeting which is
always held on the Friday before the race at 7 PM at the Club House. Race
venues will be primarily the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Bay near the
Dunedin Marina. The start will be either all boats starting at the same time or
a staggered start based on your PHRF rating. Race entry fees are usually $5.00
per boat. One common need for each event is finding the staff it takes to run the
races. The committee boat needs personnel, and we are asking for volunteers,
and will reward those volunteers. You just need to be interested in the
program. Perhaps if your boat is short crew and cannot race, the remainder of
the crew can volunteer for committee boat duty. Or, perhaps you just want
to be involved, if you don't have a boat to crew on, just join in as a
committee boat person. The duties are fun, yet challenging. You will
be paired with experienced personnel for your learning experience. We also need
Committee Boats, power or sail, fuel expenses provided. Be a part of the racing
program!
Mission Statement
Our goal is to provide a quality race program to help improve the overall
skills and knowledge of the participants. In order to accomplish this, we will
schedule approximately two races per month, adhere to the International Sailing
Federation Rules, hold seminars and promote our racing program outside our club
to encourage other racers to participate. |
