Membership Information Membership Application available at a general membership meeting. General Information The Dunedin Boat Club was formed in 1929 to encourage, sponsor, and promote boating, sailing and yachting for pleasure and to foster fellowship of its members through social activities. The club encourages and supports the protection of the environment. Club activities include social functions, racing programs, and cruising to name a few. Other benefits include discount memberships to Vessel Assist.
The affairs of the Club are
managed by a Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, Secretary, Treasurer,
and an eight member Board of Governors. The General Membership Meeting is held the third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Dunedin Boat Club, located on the west side of the Dunedin Municipal Marina. The monthly meetings frequently address topics of interest such as cruising, boat maintenance and repairs, weather, navigation, etc., presented by members and guest speakers. Newsletter The Harbor Crier is published monthly and made available to the membership on this web site or by mail. Application Procedure Attend three membership meetings and request an application. Membership process After attending two General Meetings, candidates over 18 years of age seeking membership in the Club shall present to the Club a signed application bearing the endorsement of one sponsoring Member. The application shall be accompanied by a payment of the initiation fee and the prorated annual dues. The candidate(s) will be presented by their sponsor to the Board during a General Meeting. Their application must then be approved by a majority of the Board at the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting.
