Many thanks for
all of your votes of confidence in electing me to the Commodore's
Seat. I was humbled by the number of people that came to the
Change of Watch to help me celebrate and even more so for the number
of members that came to the General Meeting in January. I hope
I can help make Dunedin Boat Club the place you want to have fun and
call home. I am excited for the things to come 'FOR THE GOOD
OF THE CLUB'!
Going forward I
would like for current members to help get our new members more
involved with the workings of the Dunedin Boat Club's activities at
the onset. I believe by having new members be more active with
their sponsor and participate in an 'on the water' activity (Race
Committee, race event, Coastal Clean-up) or an activity 'for the
good of the Club' (Blessing of the Fleet, Clubhouse clean-up, a
fundraiser), they will feel more apart of being a member of a
'Club', not just going to a social function.
These things can't
be done by one person or just a few - they have to be done by us
all, the group! "It takes a village...." and I hope you'll join me,
the Bridge, and the Board in building the Dunedin Boat Club to be a
fun place to boat, help the community, and of course socialize!
If you have any
questions or concern, please do not hesitate to ASK!
I'm looking forward to a great
year.
Happy Jordan
