As we begin a new year, it will be my privilege to be your Commodore and along with a lot of very good and talented people on both the Bridge and Board, we will steer our ship through whatever lays ahead of us. We will of course have our parties and enjoy the time we spend with friends. We will also enjoy our time on the water, boating, sailing, fishing or just enjoying a sunset on the porch.

Also this year I want to help our club grow, not only by acquiring new members, but also in our commitment to help our community. To give a little back and show that we are thankful for all we have. For this I will need your help. I know you have heard this many times, but it is so true.....it is you, the club members, who can make the difference by getting involved.

There will be a number of opportunities for all of us to help. There will be our coastal cleanup days, our commitment to the Dunedin Youth Sailing Program and of course the annual Dunedin Cup Regatta. All of these events help to make the Dunedin Boat Club shine in the eyes of the community. So spend a couple of hours helping to clean up our waterways, volunteer some time with the Dunedin Youth Sailing program or join a committee for the Dunedin Cup. Get involved....I guarantee it will make you Feel great!
