2017 Dunedin Cup

The 33rd Annual Dunedin Cup, a Gulf Series Boat of the Year Event, is fast approaching (it begins on Friday, September 29, with a Skippers Meeting & Party at the Dunedin Boat Club – 6 p.m., and ends on Sunday, October 1, after two days of various racing events).  Two weeks later, on Friday, October 13, the Regatta Ball and Auction will be held at 6 p.m. at the Bon Appetit restaurant.  Information regarding all aspects of the Dunedin Cup, including the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions, which includes a 5:00 p.m. September 28 registration deadline for the races, can be obtained by visiting dunedincupregatta.org.  Tickets for the Regatta Ball and Auction may be purchased on that website.  This is a major event for our club, and for the Dunedin Youth Sailing Association, and I encourage all of you to consider taking part in some fashion.

Dunedin Boat Club is located in the Dunedin City Marina.  The City of Dunedin is located on Florida’s West Central Coast.  The Club has a long heritage as one of Florida’s oldest Sailing Clubs.  Members own a mixture of powerboats and sailboats.  The sailboat-racing program is supported with a busy social and cruising calendar.

The membership meets are on the third Monday of the month and the Board meets are on the first Monday at the clubhouse at 7:30 PM.
